Safari Club International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of wildlife, education of the people, and the protection of hunters rights.
Founded in 1972, Safari Club International is a worldwide charitable organization that promotes wildlife conservation and education, provides services for people in need, and functions as an advocate for hunters and hunting.
SCI is the only outdoor organization with an office on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and it maintains a staff of attorneys who work daily to protect your hunting future.

Laura and I met in Washington DC at my first lobby day representing GSSCI. She had just founded the first chapter in Zambia and was on her way to making her mark.
In the past couple years she has accomplished amazing things in her country, while at the same time promoting all that SCI stands for included sustainable us of hunting as a conservation tool and the use of Blue Bags to help communities.
Laura has been a big supporter of our chapter and is in fact,talking of making the long trip over to attend this yearโs banquet in January. All chapter members and followers, please join me and take a couple minutes to vote for her at the link below. She is item #1 under the individual category.

367 BEARS WERE TAKEN DURING NEW JERSEYโS SIX-DAY ARCHERY/MUZZLELOADER SEASON.
New Jersey hunters harvested 367 black bears during the first phase of the stateโs 2026 bear hunting season, which ran October 12โ17. The total was nearly identical to last yearโs first phase, when hunters harvested 368 bears.
Sussex County led the state with 178 bears, followed by Warren County with 88 and Morris County with 61. Those three counties accounted for 327 of the bears harvested during the six-day season.
Many activists continue to protest the hunt, but wildlife officials support regulated hunting as a tool for managing the stateโs black bear population and reducing human-bear conflicts.
